Our lives have finally found a sense of rhythm.
As work life has gotten busier, so has our other personal life.
After the first month I can tell you that I love, and I mean love, working 4 ten hour shifts.
Three day weekends every weekend are glorious.
I usually spend one of the days lounging and trying to sleep in,
even though my body's internal clock refuses to let me sleep in past 7 a.m.
I did have to work for a whole half hour this Friday (how dare they?).
I visited an older couple who we are featuring in our direct mail piece at work.
Yes, I am writing one of those letters you get in the mail begging for money.

I find it ironic that I am writing this type of letter when I typically toss those kinds of letters in the garbage without a second glance. But I digress.
This couple is hilarious. They bicker and banter so much you wonder how they stay with each other for so long. For example:
Her: I hate that picture. I look fat. I used to be skinny, you know.
Him: [incredulously] When?
Maybe you just had to be there, but I adore them nonetheless.
The office is really into holidays.
I was roped into being on the Halloween Party Committee and instantly put in charge of decorations.
With a budget of zero dollars.
So I used some random decorations and made a spider out of garbage sacks.
I think it turned out pretty well.
The office also has a Halloween door decorating contest.
The prize? A full day off. paid.
Yes. That is awesome.
Sadly, I did not have enough time to make one. (and I also don't have a door)
I was so impressed with how creative the doors were.
One of the guys from the transportation division put a traffic light as part of his.
Yes, this is an actual traffic light.
Did you know they were so huge?
