Spring has sprung... kind of

We had a brief encounter with spring and then it left.
It is cold again. But even though the warmer weather didn't stay, some changes the spring ushered in did

I'm an auntie again! Baby McKenzie was born on March 2, 2011.
She is very cute and already very loved.

Before

I got my hair did. In an effort to get out of a rut, I got it chopped.

After

I am  not sure I have ever had it this short, but I love it!
Doing it in the morning is a breeze.

And other things we are looking forward to:
Jacob's graduation!
We are ecstatic. So ecstatic that I made him a graduation chocolate countdown calendar.

 It seems long right now.
When I made it we had 45 days left.
Now it is only just over a month.
He is so close, we can taste it!

FYI: A candy countdown calendar is the chocolate-y equivalent to a paper chain.
I used saran-wrap, curling ribbon and some of Jacob's favorite treats.
Every day he gets to cut one off and eat it.
Very easy to make and fun to have around.

Alright, Spring. It's time to come and stay.
I can't wait to see what else you will bring.
