Labor Day weekend ushers out the lazy, hazy days of summer.
Weather in Utah is fickle so it cannot always be counted on.
But it was like Mother Nature flipped a switch and it has been 10 degrees colder ever since the holiday came.
To say goodbye to summer, I took K and Reagan swimming.
I have never seen the Scera pool this empty.
It was glorious. I finally didn't feel like I was bathing with a few hundred other people.
After swimming, I hit up the Rooftop Concert Series with cousins on the Benson side, Deborah and Heidi while Jacob went camping with man-friends.
Deborah is trying to convince Heidi to come to school here next year for college so we were trying to show her what life in Provo is like.
The openers, the Vibrant Sound, were killer. From the first syllable of their cover of 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' I knew I would like them. The headliner was fine, but I felt really old when all of the college kids rushed the stage. I just wanted to sit in my lawn chair and enjoy some music under the stars. I know your thinking, Come on, grandma. But I just liked the concerts better before college season. (I'm talking about you, Zoobies!)
Goodbye, summer.
A long weekend is the best way to usher you out.
