Every time I turn the page on my calendar I think Are we seriously onto another month? Where has my life gone!?

And now it is August. Seriously.

I blame the rapidness of summer to a recent surgery I had on my hand to remove a cyst. As far as surgeries go, it was pretty low risk but the recovery took much longer than I expected and I ended up elevating for a whole week and was forbidden from getting my stitches wet for an additional week.

Finishing Mad Men on Netflix.

Peggy? Don? Megan? Lane?! Pete and Alexis Bledel (in real life and in the show)?!
While this show skews my moral compass, I am obsessed.
Season 6 isn't available yet so no one spill.

Now that I am done, I have started Call the Midewife. It's semi-terrifying, but I love Nurse Lee and Chummy, so I think I'm hooked.

Trying to give Midnight in Austenland another try.
Placed on my couldn't-finish bookshelf earlier this year, I decided to give it another go.
Not as good as the first, but I still liked it in an embarrassed-that-I-like-this kind of way.

P.S. Austenland is coming to theaters this month.

I finally got my bandages and stitches removed only to find that my doctor had drawn an arrow to my finger.

Glad he got the right one. :)
