Hi Katie- I used Photoshop! I used the rectangle tool to create a box. Made the color white and then dialed down the opacity to about 40%. Then I put words over it. It is one of the only things I know how to do in Photoshop. :)
Hi! I LOVE your blog! My husband and I want to take a three week trip to Europe. And visit 6 cities! (Rome, Florence, Marseille, Paris, London, Dublin) Do you think it's do-able? Any advice? What time of year were you in Paris?
My wife and I are going to Firenze with our son in early Januaray 2014. He is going to study there. We are flying to Milano first before taking a train to Firenze. Just wonder if it is advisable only to take the back packs with us or there is a way convenient to pull the traditional box luggage i.e. trolley service, etc. (considering a number of items he will be needed for his survival there).
Backpacks aren't necessary but I sure found them to be more convenient, especially with getting on and off the trains quickly. We saw people with all sorts of luggage, but it was easier for me to navigate the train system when everything was on my back. My suggestion is to pack as light as possible for a suitcase or a backpack.
I love your blog. I live in Utah and would like to duplicate what you did church and all, do you or your husband speak the language Italian, French? Was it scary? How did you find cheapest flights with what parameters? Any info would be helpful. Kendalisa@hotmail.com
I love your blog and was wondering how you placed the city name over your picture with the translucent space?
